Vijay Madan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an Enrolled Agent admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business in 2000 from one of the top colleges in India. He then passed the Chartered Accountant examination in India and started working as an Auditor with KPMG (a Big 4 International Accounting Firm). He worked with KPMG from 2004 to 2014 in Australia, the UK, and India and quickly progressed through the ranks to become a Senior Manager overseeing large multi-functional teams on complex projects.
He moved to the US in 2014 to lead the financial reporting and accounting function of a large public company (approx. $800m annual revenue) which was spun off from a top 20 listed company in Australia. He has also worked in senior management roles with a Toyota Group company and WestRock (a fortune 200 company).
In August 2020, he started his own accounting and tax business when he bought a book of business from an established firm in Redlands, CA.
To ensure that he had the right experience and knowledge to help his clients, he worked for a couple of small accounting firms to gain “real world” experience of various challenges faced by small/ medium-sized businesses and the type of services those businesses needed.
He also obtained his CPA license in California in 2019 and also became an Enrolled Agent in 2020. He keeps his technical knowledge up to date by attending numerous courses and seminars throughout the year.
